Open Door to English is a musical introduction to beginning American-English
sentence structures. Designed for children from Kindergarten through
the Sixth grade, this program consists of 32 lessons. Each lesson introduces
approximately 15 words and is presented in a story form by four lively
children and their mentor as they perform in a colorful stage setting.

Producer Peggy Hollingsworth studied Theater Arts at Columbia University,
NY and at the University of California, Los Angeles before receiving an M.S.
in the field of Special Education from California State University, Fullerton,
CA. After twenty years of classroom teaching, she produced Stage
One: The Natural Approach to Speaking English, a video program
which has been used to teach over one-half million non-English speakers throughout

Productions to develop and produce Open Door to English
for use in the elementary classrooms.
The concept of sentience-structure songs to assist students increase their
comprehension while mastering basic syntax was developed by In Hwan Kim for
his doctoral dissertation while at Columbia University. Dr. Kim operates several
language schools in Korea and composed many of the songs, which form the basis
of Open Door to English.
Director Art Vitarelli is an independent filmmaker who comes to this project
with credentials ranging from extensive work on prize-winning industrial films
to second unit work on such box office hits as Indiana Jones and The Temple
